We always ask what is the aim of our life and cant find the answer to this question. For us it is easier not to seek the answer...... But the answer lies near. The aim the goal of all creatures is a "search" every human beeing is searching all it's life and all human beeing have the same aim of the "search". We search to find and than to start searching again. While we search we are invulnarable to death. But we dont have the power to search for eternity that is why when we dont have any more strength we stop and death takes us and we are gone forever. "The warriors "saw" this and they find the way to cheat death. During their searches the are "cleaning" themselfs from "self importance feeling" and other things that consumes our energy. And when they "stop" and death comes to take them- they are already flawless and this is enough to come into "full awareness" of the "third attantion". They have enough energy to burn from inside before the death toches them............... and then eternity comes........forever

I wander how life feels without the "self importance feeling". Might be nice. Oh well..

yet to deny the buddhas ascension through technology would be to limit the oneness that is all. We are limitless in our capabailities as Beings; so long as we're willing to live the "warrior" path and interact with life through the Will. Coupled, I think the eternal ascension thevoiceofinfinity is referring to could be within reach for everyone willing to use a tool to get there. And, as is with most things, humans will most likely find that the most effective tool is the organic one.

Its funny stepping into to the new age section of the book store nowadays, because the new age section encompasses so many things. You can find books on Shamanism like Castaneda, Magick, Conspiracies, Reptoids, Free Energy, Positive Energy, Mysticism, UFOs, Witchcraft, Eastern Philosophy of course and more.

Ive read the first four books of the Don Juan series, and they have changed the processes of my mind in small but subtle ways. The events portrayed in the books challenge my ideas of what is. And they are entertaining enough for my typical American Culture developed pleasure seeking mind to want to read.

Hey, I'm sure that many of you out there have compared Castaneda's work with many others, as I have done. I find there to be a strong suggestion that in order to truly be connected to everything and one must stop percieving life through the self\ego. In the words of Sir Edwin Arnold ; " In forgoing self, the world grows I".

We were born, we were taught, we identfied, we became. Experiencing life through our senses and our ego is a screening process, a process through which our ego regulates a constant experience, "reality" to step outside of the perceptual continuity of our ego and experience infinity, requires ceasing the internal dialogue, the dialogue through which our ego maintains it's perceptal continuum. The problem is that our mind and body are habitually patterned to interact through a set cognitive process, which precipitates our normal awareness. One must have an impeccable spirit to take on that task. This is no part time practice. It must be one hundred percent, no half steppin here. One technique of many that I find invaluable is stalking, but utimately it's a lot of not doing. Haven't perceived energy directly yet, still looking through my eyes.

Hey,I stopped my internal dialogue and had a few moments of nothing. What do others do to sustain that particular state

I began reading The Teachings of Don Juan in the Sonora desert. I read all the other books except the last one but found my interest in them was changing along the way because of the clever recycling Castaneda did of his own stories. The controversy around his books stems from his stand as a non-fiction writer while they could be mostly fiction finally. Either way, it's still fascinating. Now I wonder if many people have an original perception of Castaneda's work, or have experienced the other side of reality and would be willing to share their views. Please use the language you're most familiar with between English, French, Spanish, Portuguese or Italian.
Thank you very much.

Anyone reading Carlos Castaneda these days?

>>By Noudjali   (Wednesday, 31 Mar 2004 17:13)

not sure who this is what type of literature is it? horror sci fi real life etc

>>By *Vovin*   (Thursday, 1 Apr 2004 18:18)

For Vovin, here is Castaneda in a nutshell.
His books are generally placed in the "esoteric" or "spirituality" section of bookstores. You can check excerpts by clicking on the links on the right and make up your mind. But for now, let's say Castaneda tells about the life changing encounters he had with a Mexican sorcerer. What started as a thesis in Anthropology turned into a chronicle about living as a sorcerer's apprentice. It is very controversial as the characters presented could be fictionnal, but even as fiction, it is fascinating.

So, has anyone read The Eagle's Gift recently? Doesn't it provide a fitting description of the human condition? I'd like to hear about people's different perception of reality and life changing experiences.

>>By Noudjali   (Saturday, 17 Apr 2004 03:45)

For Noudjali, I'm not sure about the Eagles gift, but one view is that we are like fields of energy amidst the universal energy. Language and knowedge, concepts , and self-knowledge, restrict the flow of energy causing resistance. Resistance in turn causes heat or light. The Eagle seeks energy and when it see's a bright spot in the universe it gobbles it up. To sneak past the Eagle one must learn to let go, terminate the internal dialogue.

If anyone reads this please write back, it has been a while since this discussion and I don't know who is still Florking about.
